The Ministry of National Defense stated in its announcement, "We continue to destroy terrorist hideouts with strength and determination!" and provided the following details about the operation: "In order to eliminate terrorist attacks against our people and security forces from northern Iraq and to ensure our border security, in accordance with our legitimate defense rights arising from Article 51 of the United Nations Agreement, an air operation was carried out on September 18, 2024, on terrorist targets in the Hakurk, Gara, Kandil, and Asos regions in northern Iraq; 24 targets consisting of caves, shelters, and depots used by the Separatist Terrorist Organization (STO), including terrorists at responsible levels, were destroyed."

In this operation, a large number of terrorists were neutralized using maximum local and national ammunition. The Turkish Armed Forces, which emerged from our noble nation, will continue to fight against terrorism with determination and perseverance for the security and survival of our country and nation, just as it did in the past.
