After the MKYK meeting, AK Party spokesperson Ömer Çelik made statements calling on the SDG to adhere to the March 10 agreement. Çelik stated, "The SDG is a terrorist organization of the PKK in Syria. Two armies in one country lead to civil war. If the March 10 agreement is followed, the SDG will cease to be a threat to Turkey, as well as to Syria."
AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik made statements after the party's Central Decision and Executive Board (MKYK) meeting. Çelik called for adherence to the March 10 agreement regarding the terrorist organization SDG in Syria.
Highlights from Çelik's statements are as follows:
"The unique sacrifices of our martyrs and veterans have prevented terrorism from achieving its goals. Various efforts have been made in other parts of the world through ethnic, sectarian, or racial conflicts. In Turkey, there has been no ethnic, racial, or sectarian conflict. On the contrary, terrorism has plagued the eternal brotherhood of Turks and Kurds. It has been thwarted every time. With the resolute stance of our security forces, terrorism has been prevented from achieving its goals, and our nation's unique foresight has approached these issues. The attacks of terrorist organizations and terrorism on the brotherhood of Turks and Kurds, Alevis and Sunnis have been thwarted by this wisdom.
THE PROCESS OF A TERROR-FREE TURKEY
As the AK Party, we clearly expressed our views in the report we submitted to our commission. Our friends clearly articulated this in the budget discussions. Steps to be taken regarding the disarmament in the upcoming period, as well as the emergence of certain reports and observations that can confirm the actual dissolution of the terrorist organization, will facilitate many issues.
"WE WILL MOVE TOWARDS THE FUTURE WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF CITIZENSHIP PRINCIPLES"
The recommendations and suggestions that emerged from this commission will also facilitate the legal process in the Parliament. The key point is that the issue of dissolution must become a reality beyond rhetoric. This is closely related to the process we call a terror-free region. Here, an agenda item related to democratization is being discussed. We have always had a perspective within the legitimate realm of democratization.
We did not approach this as a perspective specific to one issue. We have always found this reductionist. We view it as a perspective that will ensure the fulfillment of all needs for the peace and prosperity of our nation. We also addressed this in our report. We will walk towards the future with the principles of shared destiny and citizenship, safeguarding our eternal unity with one homeland, one nation, one flag, and one state.
"OUR FOCUS IS THE DISSOLUTION OF THE PKK AND THE DESTRUCTION OF WEAPONS"
Political parties and everyone's perspectives are different. We must act with maturity to bring these to a point. The main issue is to look at the societal center. Our focus is the dissolution of the PKK terrorist organization and the destruction and disarmament of weapons for this to happen. This framework, from our perspective, is the historical call of Mr. Devlet Bahçeli and the transformation of Mr. President's will into state policy. There is a directive from our President to state institutions in line with this goal.
Similarly, the valuable commission of the esteemed Parliament has played and continues to play an extremely important role in this regard. We are progressing within a framework that can be carried out without targeting the qualities of our state and the values of our nation. Inshallah, as a result of all these efforts, we aim to achieve a terror-free Turkey and a terror-free region.
It is also the anniversary of the attack coded as 17-35 by the Fethullahist terrorist organization, which signifies an attack on Turkey's national sovereignty and all the values of our state. Looking back, we can evaluate more clearly that the terrorist organization was preparing during the process leading to July 15. We have clearly seen that this process was aimed at seizing Turkey's national sovereignty and transferring it to foreign powers.
"WE WILL CONTINUE TO FIGHT AGAINST ALL KINDS OF ATTACKS"
The unwavering will and strong approach demonstrated by our President have ensured the elimination of all these threats. Perhaps one of the greatest dangers to Turkish state life and our social life has been thwarted in this way. With God's permission and the support of our nation, we will continue to fight against all kinds of attacks within the framework that sovereignty belongs unconditionally to the nation.
