First statements after the CHP-DEM Party meeting

"AN UNDERSTANDING THAT TARGETS A WOMAN, A MOTHER DOES NOT SUIT THIS LAND"

Özgür Özel stated: "Today, we hosted the esteemed delegation of the DEM Party at our headquarters and exchanged views on the process that has taken place in the commission so far and what will happen next. First of all, I would like to express a point that I mentioned to our delegation inside. I want to express my feelings regarding the unacceptable developments that occurred last week towards Ms. Leyla Zana. I had intended to convey these feelings to her by calling her. However, due to a difficult process we were also going through at that time, we could not establish a phone contact. But I expressed our wishes, our sadness, and our condemnation of the incident inside. I want to express it once again here in front of the public. An understanding that targets a woman, a mother does not suit this land. We absolutely do not accept such a thing happening in Anatolia on this land. It is contrary to our beliefs and our culture. Moreover, I want to express that none of us can welcome an understanding that tries to use stadiums in this sense through the political events developing in the country against a politician."

First statements after the CHP-DEM Party meeting

"WE HOPE FOR DEMOCRACY AND PEACE IN TURKEY AND SYRIA"

We evaluated the process so far and what will happen next. Today at 16:00, a five-person delegation consisting of representatives of political parties will gather to discuss the report writing process of the commission and how they will participate in this process in terms of working principles and timelines. Our party will also be represented there by our group deputy chairman, Mr. Murat Emir. We hope that the report writing phase of the commission will progress quickly based on the common approaches agreed upon by the parties, and that we can realize both Turkey's goal of a terror-free Turkey and a democratic Turkey together, in a process that is intertwined rather than sequential, ensuring that tears cease on this land, and that brotherhood and peace prevail, where neither the Turk nor the Kurd has to worry about the future of their children, where they can receive the best education, and where we can rapidly develop and share fairly. We hope for a constitutional democratic and peaceful two-state solution for Turks, Kurds, Druze, Alevis, and Turkmen in both Turkey and Syria. We hope for peace, brotherhood, and democracy to prevail in both Turkey and Syria, for a complete peace to be established on both sides, and for good relations between Turkey and Syria, allowing the brotherhood on both sides of the border to step into the future together with confidence. We hope this will be good for Turkey, Syria, Turks, Kurds, and all of the Middle East and humanity."

First statements after the CHP-DEM Party meeting

"WE ATTACH GREAT IMPORTANCE TO CHP'S CONSTRUCTIVE ROLE"

Pervin Buldan stated, "I want to emphasize that we had a very important and productive meeting. We discussed and talked about the stages the process has reached in detail. At such a historical turning point, we attach great importance to the constructive role of the Republican People's Party. That is why we are here today. Because the Kurdish issue is a matter above politics, and it is our duty and responsibility to solve this issue. We have experienced a long period of conflict in this country. A lot of blood has been shed in this geography, and mothers have cried. Young people have been buried in the ground, young bodies have been buried in the ground. Therefore, I believe it is time for all of us to put our hands and bodies under the stone to prevent such a process from happening again. I want to express that the efforts of everyone who has contributed to this issue are valuable. It is our duty to gift peace to all 86 million people together, and I want to emphasize this once again. I want to state that we really value this meeting and extend our thanks to the Chairman and his delegation once again, and I thank you as well."

Özgür Özel's statement on Leyla Zana after the CHP-DEM Party meeting

"THERE IS NEGOTIATION, NOT DEBATE, IN THE SPIRIT OF THESE MEETINGS"

Mithat Sancar stated, "It was an important meeting. We repeatedly express that this process is multi-dimensional and challenging. Different approaches and mutual criticisms may arise during the process. However, we need to remember once again that the spirit of these processes is negotiation, not debate. Debate is an understanding of defeating each other and justifying oneself. Negotiation is the art of listening to each other and progressing through dialogue. Today, we experienced a very valuable example of negotiation together. We shared our concerns, criticisms, and objections with each other. But we agree on one point. The process will proceed through negotiation, dialogue, and mutual discussions. Political consensus and social reconciliation are vital in this regard. We have once again seen that the Republican People's Party continues to show the will to play this role positively in this process, which is extremely important. We must collectively carry out the common struggle against the environment of tension, conflict, and racist provocation that is desired to be spread. We believe that this will truly open the way for peace and democracy for us."

In the heart of the city, a new park has opened, providing a green oasis for residents and visitors alike. The park features walking trails, picnic areas, and a playground for children. Local officials celebrated the grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, emphasizing the importance of green spaces in urban environments. "This park is a gift to our community," said the mayor. "It will enhance the quality of life for everyone." The park is expected to host various events throughout the year, including outdoor concerts and farmers' markets.
