Antalya Governorship has announced that all events to be held throughout the city have been banned until July 15th. The Governorship statement stated that marches, press releases, sit-ins, and activities such as picnics, planned under the name of "So-called Antalya 10th Pride Month", have been prohibited for 15 days.
The decision was made by the Antalya Governorship to ban all events and activities throughout the province for a period of 15 days.
In the statement by the Governorship, it was stated that activities such as marches, press statements, sit-ins, setting up stands, and picnics planned to be held under the name of "So-called Antalya 10th Pride Month" have been prevented from taking place from July 1, 2024, until July 15, 2024, in accordance with relevant legal regulations.
10-DAY BAN ON EVENTS
In the announcement made by the Governorship, it was stated that all events/activities (marches, press statements, hunger strikes, sit-ins, setting up stands/tents, gathering for any purpose, picnics, etc.) planned to be organized by groups, platforms, various NGOs, or individually under the name of "-So-called Antalya 10th Pride Month" have been banned for a period of 15 days in the province of Antalya, starting from July 1, 2024, in accordance with Article 17 titled "Postponement or Prohibition of Meetings" of Law No. 2911 on Meetings and Demonstrations and Article 11 of Law No. 5442 on Provincial Administration.
