In a statement from Akbank Sanat, it was said, "Due to the social media posts regarding the manager Selim Evci of the company we work with within the scope of the Akbank Short Film Festival, it has been decided to terminate our business relationship and cancel the 22nd edition of the festival. Although these posts are still allegations, this decision has been implemented in accordance with our institutional values and principles. Our institution will continue to support the field of culture and art within the framework of the value it places on trust and its corporate principles. We respectfully present this information to the public."

MUBI REMOVED FILMS

After the harassment allegations, the digital streaming platform MUBI also took a notable step regarding Evci. The platform announced that it has removed Evci's film titled "İki Çizgi" from its lineup and has also taken the film "Savrulan Zaman," which was planned to be released in September, out of the program.
