The Competition Authority has decided to open an investigation into Ayca Dairy Products Inc., a major brand in Turkey. It has been reported that the company, which produces a wide range of products sold in three-letter chain supermarkets, is being evaluated under the relevant law due to competition violations.

A statement regarding the investigation was made on the website of the Competition Authority. Accordingly, the preliminary investigation conducted to determine whether Ayca Dairy Products Inc., which operates in the dairy products sector, violated the Law on the Protection of Competition by setting resale prices for its buyers, imposing regional and customer restrictions on its dealers, and imposing an indefinite non-compete obligation has been completed.

In addition to the "Ayca" and "Beydede" brands, the company, which also produces private label products for chain stores, has been subjected to evaluation under the relevant law due to the mentioned competition violations.
INVESTIGATION OPENED
The Authority, which found the information, documents, and findings obtained in the preliminary investigation to be serious and sufficient, decided to open an investigation against the undertaking. Furthermore, the investigation decisions taken by the Authority do not imply that the undertakings under investigation have violated the relevant law and are facing or will face sanctions.
