In a tragic accident in Moscow, an 88-year-old woman lost her life after getting caught in the leash of a dog while rollerblading. The incident was captured by security cameras in the city park. Footage presented to the court shows two elderly women walking their dogs, with one of the dogs being held on a long leash. During this time, 56-year-old rollerblader Igor Berin is seen passing by quickly and getting caught in the leash, causing the elderly woman to fall and be dragged along the ground. According to the prosecutor's statement, the elderly woman suffered a severe head injury after hitting the asphalt and died in the hospital where she was taken. The incident occurred in May. In the trial held on November 18, Berin was found guilty of causing death by negligence and was sentenced to one year of 'restricted freedom.' As part of this sentence, he is required to wear an electronic bracelet, stay at home during certain hours, and not participate in public events. The prosecution stated that Berin stopped after the accident but did not realize that the woman was seriously injured and left the scene. The Moscow Prosecutor's Office announced, "The elderly woman, who was taken to the hospital in critical condition after the collision, did not regain consciousness for three weeks and passed away on June 15."
