In a live broadcast, AK Party member Şamil Tayyar addressed the remarks made by DEM Party member Gülistan Koçyiğit following the meeting of the İmralı delegation with terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan, where she stated, "The mechanism of a coup may come into play." Tayyar made a striking claim, stating that Öcalan said during the meeting, "If the process is not successful, a coup will be carried out against Devlet Bahçeli within the MHP."
AK Party Deputy Chairman and Hatay MP Hüseyin Yayman, MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız, and DEM Party Group Deputy Chair Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit formed a three-person delegation that visited İmralı last week to meet with terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan.
KOÇYİĞİT: COUP MECHANISM MAY COME INTO PLAY
DEM Party Group Deputy Chair Koçyiğit detailed their meeting with Öcalan and stated: "We can express that Mr. Öcalan interprets the process that started with the President's speech in Ahlat and Malazgirt and the hand extended by Mr. Bahçeli on October 1 as a kind of 'state intelligence.' In this sense, he views this newly developing process as one developed by state intelligence and believes that politics should also be a part of this process. At least as a result, I can say that I have made such an inference on my own behalf. He emphasized that this process needs to be successful and pointed out that there are structures that do not want it to succeed, at least highlighting a coup mechanism. In other words, he drew attention to the danger that if this process does not succeed, a coup mechanism may come into play once again."

Former AK Party MP Şamil Tayyar made striking statements regarding Koçyiğit's words "the coup mechanism may come into play" during a live broadcast he attended.

Speaking on Tv100, Tayyar said, "In the last meeting, if the process does not succeed, you know how DEM Party's Gülistan Koçyiğit describes it, 'the coup mechanism works'... He (Öcalan) elaborates on the subject a bit more there, using important phrases about Devlet Bey. He places great importance on his initiative. (Öcalan) says that if the process does not succeed, a coup will be made against Devlet Bey within the MHP. The part about Bahçeli has never been discussed until now. I am expressing it for the first time. He says that a coup will be made against Devlet Bey," he stated.
