In Çorum, tradesman Murat Kırçı announced that an investigation has been launched against him for the crime of 'publicly disseminating misleading information' due to a video in which he reacted to Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek.
In a video recorded in Çorum, tradesman Murat Kırçı, who reacted to Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, reported that an investigation has been launched against him for the crime of "publicly disseminating misleading information" and that his statement has been taken in this context.
AN INVESTIGATION WAS LAUNCHED AFTER THE VIDEO HE SHOT WITH MINISTER ŞİMŞEK
Murat Kırçı stated in a statement he made on his social media account: "As of today, an investigation has been initiated by the prosecutor's office regarding the tradesman video we shot the other day. For this reason, we were called to give a statement. We have given our statement. An investigation has been opened against us based on Article 217/a of publicly disseminating misleading information, and the investigation is currently ongoing. We will wait for the results, we will see, I hope it will be for the best for us. I have nothing else to say at the moment, but hopefully, I will inform you of the decision after it is concluded. An investigation has been opened at this time. Therefore, I will not say anything until the investigation is completed." he said.
Kırçı had said the following in the video he shared on his social media account, which is the subject of the investigation: "We are at the most central point of Çorum. We are near the clock tower. Right now, most of the tradesmen haven't even made their first sale. Show the döner, it's still sitting there, it hasn't been touched by a knife at all. But Mr. Mehmet Şimşek, you even send an officer from the tax office on Saturdays for inspection. Is there a first sale, am I going to issue a receipt? You write a fine for 'not issuing a receipt.' I know that fines have been written, even though I haven't received one. I haven't made a first sale, it's 12:00. First, turn around and look at how you manage the economy, then deal with the tradesmen. Is the tradesman going to pay the shop rent? He hasn't even made a first sale yet?"
