The Digital Media Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) was announced to convene today at 11:00 AM to the commission member deputies and the press last week. However, the completion of the discussions on the Turkey Justice Academy Bill in the TBMM General Assembly at 05:15 AM caused a delay in the commission meeting.

Seeing that the quorum for the meeting was not met, the Commission Chairman and AK Party Hatay Deputy Hüseyin Yayman, who took his place at the meeting time, began to call the commission member deputies one by one. During this time, Yayman's phone conversations and his complaints to the absent deputies were reflected on the microphones, unaware that they were open.

Calling CHP İzmir Deputy Tuncay Özkan, Yayman informed the deputy chairman Nazım Elmas and the responsible staff member that "Tuncay Özkan is coming." Later, when he called AK Party Commission Member Muammer Avcı, Yayman said, "Muammer Abi, we couldn't find the quorum for the commission since it closed late. If you're near, come, then you can leave again... Okay, brother, we are waiting." He conveyed to those next to him that "Muammer Avcı says he will come in 20 minutes," and added, "Tuncay Özkan is coming, Muammer Avcı... We need one more person... We say let's gather the commission, but we can't find the number," he complained.

Upon the words of the commission staff member sitting next to him, "The General Assembly finishing unexpectedly early in the morning was a bit of a problem," Yayman replied, "Okay, but what are we going to do? 11:00 is a good time." After Commission Vice Chairman Nazım Elmas reminded that the General Assembly session ended at 05:15 AM, Hüseyin Yayman said, "Sir, what can I do? We are all in the same situation..." A microphone accident also occurred about a month ago during the Child Abuse and Violence Research Commission meeting in the TBMM.
