MUSLERA'S COSTLY MISTAKE
The goal that secured Spain's win was scored by Alex Baena in the 42nd minute. Muslera, who let the ball slip through his hands from the Spanish player's shot, was unable to prevent the goal. Uruguay's head coach Marcelo Bielsa substituted Fernando Muslera at the start of the second half following the error. Muslera had also made two major mistakes and conceded goals in the match against Cape Verde.
URUGUAY RECEIVED A RED CARD
