Another PKK Terrorist Surrenders To Security Forces In Turkey

Number of terrorists who have laid down their arms through persuasion efforts in 2021 rises to 80.

One more PKK terrorist has surrendered to Turkish security forces, the Interior Ministry announced on Friday.
After fleeing the terror group, the terrorist turned himself in thanks to the persuasion efforts by Turkish police and gendarmerie teams, a ministry statement said.
The terrorist joined the PKK in 2013 and was found to be actively operating in Syria, the statement added.
With the latest addition, the number of terrorists who have laid down their arms through persuasion efforts this year has reached 80, it added.
In its more than 35-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK – listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US, and EU – has been responsible for the deaths of 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants. -
