According to a report from the Spanish media outlet Relevo; Atletico Madrid, which is preparing for life after Diego Simeone and has already started its search for a new head coach, has included former player Arda Turan on its list alongside names like Fernando Torres, Gabi, and Filipe Luis.

It has been suggested that Simeone's influence on the players has diminished and that his high salary is putting pressure on the club. It has been learned that Simeone, whose salary was reduced by 50% in 2023, continues to be a concern for the management.

Arda Turan, whose name is among the candidates for the position at Atletico Madrid, where he played from 2011 to 2015, made striking statements in an interview with AS, one of Spain's highest-circulation newspapers.
