According to the Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA), Nikshahr District Governor Mucib Hoseyni provided information regarding the incident.

Hoseyni stated, "While students were outside participating in an activity at Muhsin Sheikhhan Bent School, as a result of the opened fire, Bent Revolutionary Guards Corps Commander Perviz Kedhudayi, Bent City Council Chairman Yusuf Shirani, and 2 soldiers lost their lives."
