                    In the Bodrum district of Muğla, CHP municipal council member Niyazi Atare was detained on the allegation of soliciting bribes from a construction contractor. Atare, who was taken to the hospital for a health check, will be referred to the courthouse after his statement is taken.
                    
                    
                       
A contractor engaged in construction in the Bodrum district of Muğla allegedly claimed that CHP council member Niyazi Atare demanded money from him to open the road leading to his construction site, and he filed a complaint with the prosecutor's office.
COUNCIL MEMBER DETAINED
Following the complaint, the KOM teams, acting under the coordination of the Bodrum Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, detained Atare after technical and physical surveillance. It was also stated that allegations regarding the suspect's abuse of public office for personal gain are being investigated.
TAKEN FOR HEALTH CHECK
Atare, who is undergoing procedures at the Bodrum District Police Department, was taken to Bodrum State Hospital for a health check during the night hours. After the check, the council member was returned to the police station, and it is expected that he will be referred to the courthouse after his statement is taken.
