In Siirt, a drug-addicted individual opened fire first on his wife and then on family members who came to rescue her. In the attack, the uncle, Özgür Arı, and his pregnant wife, Mine Arı, lost their lives at the scene.
In the Kurtalan district of Siirt, 2 people were killed and 3 others were injured in a domestic dispute.
The argument that broke out in the Fırat neighborhood around 03:00 at night quickly escalated. In the ensuing fight, O.A. opened fire with one of the two guns he had, first shooting his wife Mine Arı, and then firing at family members who came to her rescue. In the attack, his uncle Özgür Arı and his wife Mine Arı lost their lives at the scene. The suspect's mother M.A. (50), his sister-in-law N.A. (41), and his uncle F.A. (45) were injured. Health and police teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification.
ONE INJURED PERSON IN CRITICAL CONDITION
After the initial interventions at the scene, the injured were taken to Siirt Training and Research Hospital. It was learned that the condition of M.A. among the injured was critical, while the suspect O.A. was detained by the Kurtalan Police Department.
Moreover, it was learned that Mine Arı was pregnant and that O.A. was using substances. The investigation launched regarding the incident is ongoing.
