A horrifying incident occurred on an İETT bus at the entrance of Haraççı Junction in Arnavutköy, Istanbul. During a fight between two passengers, one person was stabbed to death, and the bus driver and another passenger were injured. The attacker was apprehended shortly after.
In the Sazlıbosna road area of the Arnavutköy district, an incident occurred on the IETT bus at 11:00, where a dispute broke out between two passengers for an unknown reason on the IETT bus operating on the 36 HT Fatih Mahallesi-Cebeci line.
A FIGHT BROKE OUT, 3 PEOPLE WERE STABBED
As the argument escalated, the parties began to fight. One of the passengers involved in the fight stabbed 2 citizens. The driver, who stopped the vehicle, got out of the driver's seat to intervene and try to separate the parties. The IETT driver was also injured by the attacking passenger. Upon notification, a large number of police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. After the initial intervention by the medical teams, the injured were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
1 PERSON DIED, DRIVER'S CONDITION IS CRITICAL
One of the injured, Kazım Özturlay (65), passed away at the hospital despite all interventions. It was learned that the treatment of the driver and the other injured passenger was ongoing, and the driver's life was still in danger.
THE ATTACKER WAS CAPTURED
The attacker was captured by the police teams, and an investigation was initiated regarding the incident.
