A high school student who stabbed and killed teacher Fatma Nur Çelik in Istanbul has been arrested.
STUDENT WHO KILLED TEACHER FATMA ARRESTED
The high school student F.S.B., who stabbed and killed teacher Fatma Nur Çelik in the Çekmeköy district of Istanbul, was taken to the Anadolu Courthouse after his procedures at the police station. The suspect, whose statement was taken by the prosecutor's office, was referred to the on-duty magistrate court with a request for his arrest.
The court ruled for the suspect's arrest on charges of "intentionally killing a public officer on duty" and "intentional injury."
WHAT HAPPENED?
F.S.B. (17), an 11th-grade student at Taşdelen Borsa Istanbul Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, had stabbed female teachers Fatma Nur Çelik (44) and Z.A. (52), as well as student S.K. (15) yesterday.
While F.S.B. was taken into custody by police teams, teacher Çelik, one of the injured, had passed away at the hospital to which she was taken.
