In a company operating in Kayseri since 1969, Begüm Büyüknalbant, who has a baby photo on the packaging of baby biscuits produced in the 1990s, is now serving as the purchasing and corporate communications director at the same establishment.
Begüm Büyüknalbant, who has been the purchasing and corporate communications director at a biscuit company in Kayseri for 11 years, was the face of the advertisement on the packaging of baby biscuits produced by the company in the early 1990s, featuring her baby photo.
35-year-old Büyüknalbant, a mother of two, works as a third-generation employee in the family business alongside her three siblings.
"I WAS THE FACE OF THE ADVERTISEMENT ON THE PACKAGING" Büyüknalbant, who shared that she was featured as the face of the advertisement when she was just a baby and has an interesting career story, stated that she started working at the company in 2012. Büyüknalbant noted:
"I didn't come to this position right away. In my early years, I wanted to work as a food technician wearing my apron. This was a family business, and I always had a desk and a chair, but I wanted to learn the production process. I told my brother and father, 'I will wear my apron and work in production; I want to learn how the process works.' I started as a food technician, although I graduated in business. I worked in many areas, from packaging to biscuit collection, from boxing to dating. I was the face of the advertisement on the packaging while producing baby biscuits in the early 1990s. A master recognized me from there and figured me out. It became clear that I was not a food technician. I rotated through production and then moved to other departments, and now I continue in this position."
"I MATURED WITH EXPERIENCE" Büyüknalbant stated that learning the job in the kitchen has been very beneficial for her, saying, "I learned clearly how things are done, the process, and where each product is sourced; I matured with experience. I am very happy to be part of the management of a company in Kayseri and to be involved in women's activities."
