In a collision between a light commercial vehicle and a motorcycle in Afyonkarahisar, two children aged 14 and 16 lost their lives. It was learned that the friends had gone to watch a match, and the driver who was taken into custody has been released.

A heartbreaking accident occurred in the Kırkgöz neighborhood of Bolvadin district in Afyonkarahisar on March 6 at around 21:00. Hasan Hüseyin Tosun (16) and his friend Sait Emir Özkul (14) set out on a motorcycle with the license plate 03 PK 813 to watch a sports event.

TWO FRIENDS LOST THEIR LIVES

The motorcycle driven by Hasan Hüseyin Tosun collided with a light commercial vehicle with the license plate 03 KK 047, driven by Osman Ç. In the accident, motorcycle rider Tosun and Sait Emir Özkul lost their lives.

THEY WERE FAREWELLED ON THEIR LAST JOURNEY

The funerals of Hasan Hüseyin Tosun and Sait Emir Özkul were delivered to their families yesterday. Tosun's funeral was buried in the Eber village cemetery, while Özkul's funeral was laid to rest in the Çay Asri Cemetery.

DRIVER RELEASED

The driver of the vehicle, Osman Ç. (47), who escaped the accident with minor injuries, was detained after his treatment. Osman Ç. was brought to court and released under judicial control with a travel ban imposed by the magistrate's court. The investigation is ongoing.
