Asian Markets Close Week Down Except For Hang Seng

Asia Dow performs worst on Friday, falling 1.27%

Asian stock exchanges closed the week on a low note on Friday, except for the Hang Seng benchmark.

The Asia Dow, which includes blue-chip companies in the region, was down 49 points, or 1.27%, to 3,799 at 0915GMT.

Tokyo's Nikkei 225 stock exchange fell 250.7 points, or 0.90%, to 27,522. China's Shanghai stock exchange decreased 32.5 points, or 0.91%, to close at 3,522 points.

Hang Seng, the benchmark for blue-chip stocks trading on the Hong Kong stock exchange, was the best performer of the day, rising 13.2 points, or 0.05%, to 24,965

The Indian Sensex benchmark posted a drop of 682.9 points, or 1.15%, to close at 58,781, while 
the Singapore index also decreased 1.53 points, or 0.05%, to reach 3,293. -
