Major Asian stock markets ended Friday in the negative territory for the third consecutive day.
The Asia Dow, which includes blue-chip companies in the region, lost 49.4 points, or 1.54%, to close at 3,163 points.
Tokyo's Nikkei 225 stock exchange struggled the most, going down 457.4 points, or 1.73%, to 25,935 points.
The Hang Seng, the benchmark for blue-chip stocks trading on the Hong Kong stock exchange, decreased 137.1 points, or 0.62%, to 21,859 points.
China's Shanghai Stock Exchange slipped 11 points, or 0.32%, to close at 3,387 points.
The Indian Sensex benchmark was down 111 points, or 0.21%, to end the day at 52,907 points.
The Singapore index fell 6.6 points, or 0.21%, to close at 3,059 points. -
