The female police officer from the responding team was attacked by the suspect woman. Injured by a blow to her face, the police officer withdrew to the corner of the carriage and cried for a long time.

In videos shared on social media, the suspect woman can be seen first insulting the police and then attacking the female officer. As the situation escalated, the suspect was taken outside the train and pinned to the ground. According to eyewitnesses, the woman continued to kick the police while on the ground.

In a statement from the British Transport Police, it was said, "Our officer who was attacked has been taken to the hospital. The suspect woman has been arrested on one count of domestic violence and two counts of assaulting police officers."

The police organization also stated on their social media account, "We do not tolerate any acts of violence on the railways. Attacks against police officers performing their duties are unacceptable."
