A suspect, who entered a bank branch wearing a mask and wielding a machete to attempt a robbery, was caught and arrested by police teams following a swift intervention.

RAN AWAY WHEN NOTICED
According to a statement from the Mersin Provincial Police Department, while the Narcotics and Crime Prevention teams affiliated with the Toroslar District Police Department were continuing their efforts to prevent crime, they received information about a robbery attempt at a bank branch in the district. It was reported that the suspect, who was masked and armed with a cutting tool, fled on foot after being noticed by the bank security.
ESCAPE ROUTES WERE BLOCKED
Upon receiving the tip-off, teams that quickly arrived at the scene blocked the escape routes and initiated a large-scale operation in the area. As a result of meticulous surveillance, a suspect named B.D. was caught along with the weapon used in the crime, a cleaver, a mask, and gloves.
SENT TO PRISON
The detained suspect was referred to the judicial authorities after processing at the police station. The suspect, who was brought before the court, was arrested and sent to prison.
