Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has appeared in court due to allegations of financial irregularities in two past transfers.
OSIMHEN AND MANOLAS TRANSFERS
According to reports in the Italian press, Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis is under investigation for the transfer of Kostas Manolas from Roma in 2019 and the transfer of Victor Osimhen from Lille in the summer of 2020. The report stated that while Manolas's transfer could be considered legitimate, the opaque nature of the Osimhen transfer could not be overlooked.
RECORDED AS INCOME IN THE FINANCIAL STATEMENT
The report continued that Napoli paid 50 million euros to Lille for Osimhen, but it was revealed that Ciro Palmeri, Claudio Manzi, and Luigi Liguori, who were stated to have transferred from Napoli to the French team Lille, never actually went to Lille, and Napoli recorded the transfers of these players as income in the financial statement at that time.
HEARING POSTPONED
The hearing related to Aurelio De Laurentiis's case has been postponed to November 6. The defense lawyers announced that they would submit a petition to the prosecutor's office before the postponed hearing.
