A striking statement has come from Israel regarding the 37 Turkish activists detained in the Sumud Fleet, which was en route to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza. The activists were referred to as "members of Hamas," and it was stated, "The Hamas-Sumud passengers are proceeding safely and peacefully towards Israel with their yachts. Here, deportation procedures to Europe will begin." Meanwhile, the detained activists are being taken to Ashdod.
The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the activists on the Global Sumud Fleet, which set out to break the blockade on Gaza, have been "detained, their health is good, and they will be deported to Europe."
PASSENGERS ON THE FLEET DETAINED
In a statement made on the ministry's social media account, it was announced that the passengers on the Global Sumud Fleet have been detained and will be deported.
ACTIVISTS BEING TAKEN TO ASHDOD
The statement said, "Hamas-Sumud passengers are heading towards Israel safely and peacefully with their yachts, and deportation procedures to Europe are beginning. It is stated that the health conditions of the passengers are good and they are safe." Meanwhile, the detained activists are being taken to Ashdod.
ISRAEL ATTACKED 21 SHIPS
According to information on the Global Sumud Fleet's website, 21 out of 44 ships heading to Gaza were attacked by Israel. The names of the ships that were reported to have been stopped by Israel are 'Alma, Sirius, Adara, Spectre, Yulara, Aurora, Otaria, Huga, Deir Yessine, Grande Blu, Morgana, Hio, Seulle, All In, Captain Nikos, Florida, Karma, Mohammad Bhar, Oxygono, Free Willy, Jeannot III.' Additionally, it was reported that Israel seized the Mikeno ship that entered Gaza's territorial waters.
37 OF THE DETAINED ARE TURKISH
In a statement from Israel, it was expressed that some activists from the Sumud Fleet were taken to Israel. It was shared that 37 of the 201 detained activists are Turkish.
