In a statement during the group meeting at the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli said, "It is unknown whether Israel will sabotage the negotiations in question. If Israel cannot be stopped at the negotiating table, it must be done with weapons. Gaza must be freed from its chains."
During the party's parliamentary group meeting, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli made evaluations regarding the current issues on the agenda and made a surprising statement about Israel, which has killed tens of thousands of innocent civilians in Gaza.
Bahçeli stated, "The Gaza plan is on the world agenda. Hamas's green light is pleasing in terms of partial calm. However, the process is fraught with complicated paths." He added, "It is unknown whether Israel will sabotage the negotiations in question. If Israel cannot be stopped at the negotiating table, it must be done with force. Gaza must be freed from its chains."
Highlights from Bahçeli's statements;
"Dear parliamentary friends, esteemed guests, I greet you all with my heartfelt feelings at the first group meeting of the 4th legislative year of the 28th term of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM). I extend my warmest greetings to our esteemed citizens who follow our meeting, and I offer my love and respect. I wish that the new legislative year will be beneficial for our country and our political life. I pray for God's mercy on those who have served in the glorious Assembly for 105 years, starting with the first president of the TBMM, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and I wish long life to those who are still alive."
HARSH REACTION TO CHP: HIT THE STONE WITH THE AXE
The TBMM is the apple of our nation's eye and the manifestation of its will. The TBMM is the lifeblood of democracy. The TBMM is the founding cornerstone of our state; it is the Turkish nation itself. Carrying and representing the mandate given by the nation is the primary responsibility of every deputy. This is not a place for boycotts and protests, nor a stage for cheap demonstrations. The CHP, which did not participate in the opening session of the new legislative year with flimsy excuses and disrespected the will of the nation, has hit the stone with the axe. They have preferred to hide behind trivial justifications with reckless audacity. Those who fall have no right to complain. It is evident that they disregard not only our president and our parliament but also the Turkish nation. They will have to bear the democratic consequences. The fact that the party leaders who attended Mr. Kurtuluş's invitation were side by side immediately after the opening session of the parliament has given hope to our nation. The single frame photo thanking them reflects the longings of the national will.
Our views may differ, but we are all children of the Turkish nation. We must raise not only our voices but also our words. What benefit will polarization bring instead of unity? What will be the consequences of polarization and destruction?
FAIR TRIAL MUST START IMMEDIATELY
They have become accustomed to gaining positions without effort. The CHP's politics is a flawed politics. It has nothing to offer to the nation. Özel's words regarding the well-known photo are a code of a deepening jealousy. That photo is the photo of Turkey. The mud of bribery will certainly have political consequences. The sole source of sovereignty is the great Turkish nation. The word belongs to the nation, the decision belongs to the nation, the judgment belongs to the nation. If anyone wants to follow the traces of the mandators, my advice is to look at the CHP. There will be those who will say that the blue homeland is a fairy tale. Those who are disturbed by the victory in Karabakh will be seen. The identities of those who beg for mercy from foreign countries will be revealed. Those who have glass houses should think carefully before throwing stones at their neighbors. How free brain has been manipulated is somewhat known to you. He wrote to himself and his party. While the world was talking about Turkey at the UN, the CHP had lost control and rolled down the hill. There will be no good from this CHP. Rubbing their faces against the doors of the courts is their internal issue. Court decisions, YSK statements, and mutual statements are revealing the CHP, which is on the brink of division. All parties are CHP members. Swords have been drawn in the CHP, and common sense has been lost. Blaming everyone who comes along is not principled. Their instability will negatively affect Turkish democracy and political life. The CHP has corruption allegations that it must confront, and they are evident. Free brain's dealings with prosecutors are a reflection of a guilty psychology. The IBB is under the influence of the ecosystem of corruption and bribery. They must account for their illegitimate activities. Our wish is for fair trials to start immediately.
"THE FLOWING BLOOD MUST STOP"
The transportation of those in the Sumud fleet to Turkey is a success, and those who contributed should be congratulated. I thank the countries that recognize Palestine at the UN General Assembly. Hamas is not a terrorist organization; the real bandit that resorts to terror is Israel. Hamas is a resistance organization. It is pleasing that Hamas has given the green light to the plan, but the process is difficult and full of traps. The address for the end of the war and for Hamas to open the door is Egypt. Before Trump met with Netanyahu, he held meetings with Turkey and other countries. It was announced that changes were made to the Gaza plan during this meeting. Gaza must be freed from its chains. The proposed Jerusalem pact, to be established with the initiative of the regional countries we suggest, will gain meaning. A ceasefire must be declared as soon as possible, and Zionist barbarism must withdraw from the places it occupies. The Prime Minister of Spain said at the UN General Assembly that he would judge those who remained silent in history, and he was right. Unfortunately, one of the 57 Islamic countries has not been able to display this resolute stance. The flowing blood must stop. There is no other way than a two-state solution. The Palestinian state must be recognized within the 1967 borders and must also join the UN.
THE PROCESS OF A TERROR-FREE TURKEY
Our nation stands behind the steps taken for a Terror-Free Turkey. No one will believe the fabrications of negative circles. We approach the Terror-Free Turkey collectively. A Terror-Free Turkey is a national goal. We want to untie the knots of prejudices. Whoever is disturbed by a Terror-Free Turkey is in a state of helplessness. Global imperialist conspiracies and dark campaigns that have been ongoing for a century and a half will be eliminated. The goal is great. Turkey is on the eve of a blessed birth. There may be misunderstandings, but with patience, our love for the homeland and the nation can overcome every problem.
"LET'S GROW OUR BROTHERHOOD TOGETHER"
Let us push those who spread discord and carry out perception operations out of the agenda. Let us grow our brotherhood together. The person who is unaware of nationalism throwing accusations at us does not discourage us; on the contrary, it encourages us even more. The solidarity commission in the TBMM is active and continues its consultations with every segment of society. A broad consensus ground must be formed for legal regulations. I also thank all our deputies who serve in the commission. We will protect Turkey's rights to independence and future. If politics is to be done, all weapons must be burned. There is not a single person whose loss we can overlook. The foresight of our Kurdish brothers is at a level that can repel internal and external conspiracies. My Kurdish brothers have a heavy and sorrowful past, having suffered the most from terrorism.
"ANYONE WHO HAS NOT BEEN INVOLVED IN CRIME SHOULD COME AND EMBRACE THEIR FAMILY"
The mentioned conscience is the definition of the ability to distinguish right from wrong. The collective conscience is the concrete counterpart of this definition and a brand of common sense. Common sense is the combination of intelligent, logical, and moral behavior.
There will be a mistake if the mentioned composition is not present, and it will lead to an irreparable and unsolvable situation. Turkey must break the vicious cycle that has been continuing endlessly with a tremendous desire for unity and embrace. A Turkey without terrorism symbolizes the transition from the heart to the surface, from potential to action, from rhetoric to practice, and from thought to action and virtue. The eradication of the seeds of discord, originating from imperialism, that are intended to be sown between Turks and Kurds, and the destruction of the barriers of discrimination that are intended to be erected between this sacred brotherhood law is the main and essential purpose of the "Turkey without Terrorism" goal.
Indeed, the purpose is sincere, honorable, and based on truth. Look, my Kurdish brothers have no connection whatsoever with terrorism. Those who have been deceived for different motives and reasons, but have not committed any crime or engaged in armed action, should come and embrace their families. Where there are weapons, there is no politics. If there is to be politics, all weapons must be burned.
We do not have a single person that we can afford to lose, waste, or squander. The Republic of Turkey is majestic, and alongside that, it is compassionate. In the new century of the Republic, we need to strengthen the spirit of national unity and solidarity. Indeed, the virtue and insight of my Kurdish brothers are at a level that can repel internal and external conspiracies. We are Turkey together; we are all part of the Turkish nation. Separatist ambitions and the scheming desires that provoke and spread discrimination will be thrown into the trash. This is the necessary and sufficient condition for existing in this geography and living freely and independently. We have no intention or curiosity to be passengers on a ship that has lost its way, run out of supplies, and is starting to take on water.
"IF NECESSARY, A GROUP OF PARLIAMENT MEMBERS SHOULD GO TO IMRALI"
I must say without bending or twisting that the founding leadership of the PKK has put its hand under the stone. At the end of the February 27 Peace and Democratic Society Call, the PKK laid down its arms on May 12 and dissolved its organizational existence. On July 11, a group of PKK members burned their weapons. However, the SDG/YPG, which has an area of influence in northeastern Syria, has not yet laid down its arms and has not complied with the February 27 Imrali call. However, the Imrali call encompasses all components of separatist terrorism, in addition to the PKK. At least, this is how we understand it; our interpretation is in this direction. My expectation is this: The founding leadership of the PKK should directly call the SDG/YPG with the same nature and content, demanding compliance with the March 10 agreement signed with the Damascus administration. While there is a consensus that the People's Assembly elections, held for the first time after the overthrow of the Assad regime, should be the center of gravity for the new period and the new political and social mechanism within democratic stability; the exclusion of Raqqa, Hasakah, and Suwayda contradicts the spirit of the March 10 Agreement. If necessary, a group of parliament members serving in the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission should go to Imrali to have face-to-face discussions, messages should be received firsthand, and shared with the public. I see nothing to hesitate about in this. The statement that binds us is the February 27 Imrali statement.
Updating and elaborating on this statement and broadening its framework will lead to beneficial developments. A Turkey without terrorism is an unequivocal Turkey. A Turkey without terrorism is a strong and secure Turkey. A Turkey without terrorism is the promise of a modern and prosperous Turkey. We will solve the terrorism problem, and we will cut off the roots of separatism. With political, economic, and legal reforms, we will hopefully fully establish social harmony and justice. Our martyr families should not worry. Our veterans should not be filled with fear. We will not let their heads bow down.
We are not in a bargaining process. We are completely closed to the give-and-take process.
As the People's Alliance, we will not, cannot, and will not take part in any mistake that would weaken Turkey's sovereignty law or the founding and establishment philosophy of the Republic. Our aim is to strengthen our national unity and brotherhood, as well as to fortify and crown our internal front.
Long live the Turkish nation. Long live and may the Republic of Turkey endure. As I conclude my words, I greet you all with respect and wish you a legislative year filled with success.
