According to the tracking conducted by law enforcement based on eyewitness statements and camera footage, a total of 6 (six) suspects have been captured initially, including 5 (five) suspects (S.Ö, E.P, M.K, C.Ü, S.A) who were found to have committed the act, and 1 (one) suspect (C.A) who was determined to have assisted the suspects in escaping after the incident. In ongoing efforts, 7 (seven) more suspects (H.Ö, Y.K, M.B, D.Y, E.K, F.E, S.A.S) who were found to be in contact with the suspects who committed the act and were evaluated to be related to the incident have also been captured and detained. 2 (two) of the suspects are under 18." it was stated.
"THE MURDER WAS COMMITTED BY AN ORGANIZED CRIME GROUP" In the continuation of the statement, it was said, "The individuals who committed the act were captured in the vicinity of Arnavutköy after they fled the scene. Individuals in contact with the suspects who committed the act were also detained after searches and seizures were conducted at their residences. During the search and scanning activities carried out by security forces at the location where the suspects were captured, weapons (a total of four weapons, including two Kalashnikovs and two handguns) and items such as ski masks and gloves used in the incident were seized. Detailed examinations have been completed both at the crime scene and in the area where the weapons were found. The autopsy of the victim was also conducted at the Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institution.
According to initial determinations, the act is evaluated to have been carried out as a result of a feud that an organized crime group had against the victim. ATTACKED WITH LONG-BARRELED WEAPONS Lawyer Serdar Öktem was attacked with a long-barreled weapon while driving from Zincirlikuyu towards Beşiktaş at the 15 July Martyrs Bridge exit yesterday. Öktem, who was seriously injured, died in the hospital. A large number of empty cartridges belonging to handguns and long-barreled weapons were found at the scene. The vehicle used in the attack was found in a wooded area in Arnavutköy.

HORRIFIC DETAILS IN THE AUTOPSY REPORT While Öktem died in the hospital he was taken to, his autopsy report has emerged. The report stated that Öktem's entry to the hospital was recorded as 'dead on arrival'. In the autopsy and post-mortem examination conducted by the Forensic Medicine Institution Morg Expertise Department, it was determined that Öktem had one entry and one exit wound from a firearm bullet in his head, and a deformed bullet jacket fragment was also found in his head. The report also stated that there were at least 2 entry wounds and 3 exit wounds from bullet fragments in the facial area.
It was also noted in the report that at least 4 entry wounds from firearm bullet fragments were detected on Öktem's body.
The autopsy report stated that Serdar Öktem's death resulted from skull and facial bone fractures due to gunshot wounds, along with brain hemorrhage, brain tissue destruction, and internal and external bleeding resulting from major vessel injury.
The report also mentioned that Öktem's clothing was sent to the Police Criminal Laboratory for shooting distance determination.
HE WAS ON TRIAL FOR THE SINAN ATEŞ MURDER Serdar Öktem, who was a defendant in the case regarding the murder of former Ülkü Ocakları Education and Culture Foundation President and Hacettepe University Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sinan Ateş, was being tried at the Ankara 32nd High Criminal Court, with his case separated from the 22-defendant case.
