MHP General Chairman Devlet Bahçeli answered questions from journalists at the reception held for the new legislative year in the Parliament. In response to a question about his handshake with Özel and Bakırhan during the opening of the new legislative year in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Bahçeli replied, "We are entering a new era. While seeking peace in the world, we need to ensure peace in our own country."

Devlet Bahçeli, in response to a journalist's question about President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's warnings towards Israel during the opening of the new legislative year, stated that Erdoğan is firmly standing on potential developments and has also warned the Turkish nation in this regard.

In response to another journalist's question, "Today you had harsh criticisms towards Özgür Özel, but then you came to shake hands. How do you evaluate this?" Bahçeli said, "A handshake is a sign of evaluation." MHP leader Bahçeli also responded to the statement, "You had contact with the DEM party as well. You expressed your condolences," by saying, "Yes, that is correct."

Regarding a question about Iran's missile attack on Israel, Bahçeli stated, "Iran has had expressions indicating that it was considering intervention within a certain time frame from the beginning, so it seems they have carried it out today." When a journalist reminded him of HÜDA PAR General Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu's remarks about the first four articles of the Constitution and the subsequent discussions, Bahçeli commented, "Those discussions are over. Ask them, nothing has changed for us." Additionally, Bahçeli chatted with national Paralympic athletes at the reception and took photos.
