Turkish Airlines (THY) announced that work is being done to resolve the problem that occurred in the ticketing and reservation systems due to a malfunction in the information systems. THY Press Advisor Yahya Üstün stated in a statement on social media that there were disruptions in ticketing and reservation processes due to problems in the information systems. Üstün emphasized that necessary actions are being taken to resolve the problem and prevent passengers from being inconvenienced, and stated that they will provide information as soon as possible regarding the issue.

"A SOFTWARE-RELATED PROBLEM IS OCCURRING"

In a second statement, THY Press Advisor Üstün said, "Dear passengers, it has been determined that a software-related problem affecting many companies from different sectors, including aviation, is occurring worldwide. Necessary actions are being taken to resolve this problem, which partially affects our operations. Our operations are gradually returning to normal. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the disruption."

BANKING SECTOR IS ALSO AFFECTED

Operations in the banking sector have also come to a halt. Denizbank stated in a social media post, "Dear customers, due to the technical malfunction experienced by the global software system we use, interruptions affecting many institutions in our country are occurring. Our bank is working to resolve this problem and open all our channels as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding."

Some TV channels in the world have had to stop their broadcasts, and it is stated that there are also difficulties in hospitals due to the inability to access computer systems. American Airlines has suspended flights.
