BBP leader Destici: There is no negotiation with terrorism, it must be fought.

30.11.2024 19:50

BBP Chairman Mustafa Destici spoke about the call made by MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli regarding the terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan. Stating that no results have ever been achieved from negotiation processes with terrorism, Destici said, "There can be no negotiations with terrorism and terrorists; we must fight against them. Their weapons should be taken away, and their heads should be cut off."

Great Unity Party (BBP) Chairman Mustafa Destici held a press conference before the Central Decision and Executive Board (MKYK) meeting at the party's headquarters. Expressing that the developments in Syria are of great concern to Turkey, Destici stated, "For us, the territorial security of Syria is very important. The U.S. and Israel are trying to establish a terrorist state in northern Syria. Unfortunately, they have made significant progress in this regard."

Destici noted that as long as the Turkmen in the region do not come to effective positions, Turkey will not be able to implement its own strategy and prevent adverse developments. He stated, "The efforts to establish a terrorist state in northern Syria are openly ongoing. It is in all our hearts to reach the borders of the National Pact; cities like Kirkuk, Mosul, and Aleppo should be within the borders of the Turkish state."

DESTİCİ: POLITICAL DIVIDERS ARE DANGEROUS FOR US

Expressing that the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) need to conduct a new operation in northern Syria to control a depth of 30 kilometers along the entire border, Destici argued that irregular migrants should also be settled there. Stating that Turkey has localized and nationalized its military and defense industry by 90%, Destici emphasized that work should also be done on nuclear power, saying, "If Turkey had nuclear power, the U.S. would never think of the terrorist state project in northern Syria, and Israel could not devastate Gaza like this."

Destici: Negotiation with Terror is Not Possible, Struggle is Required
Great Unity Party (BBP) Chairman Mustafa Destici

Stating that Turkey has been fighting terrorism for over 40 years, Destici remarked, "The political dividers are more dangerous for us than the terrorist. They are the so-called parliamentarians, the so-called writers, and the so-called mayors who support the terrorist organization and terrorists."

"THE TERRORIST ORGANIZATION PROFITED FROM NEGOTIATION PROCESSES"

Destici stated that a comprehensive struggle must be waged against all elements of terrorism, noting that no results were ever achieved from the negotiation processes implemented at certain times, and that the terrorist organization benefited from them. Destici added, "The terrorist organization has strengthened. While its political party could only enter the Parliament as an independent candidate due to the 10% threshold in 2007, after the negotiation process conducted in 2013-2014, it entered the 2015 elections with its own list, surpassing the 10% threshold and reaching 70-80 seats in the Parliament."

"THERE IS NO NEGOTIATION WITH TERRORISTS, ONLY STRUGGLE"

Inside, their supportive writers occupied the corners. Most importantly, they gained legitimacy in the eyes of international organizations and world countries, especially the EU and the U.S. For this reason, there is no negotiation with terrorists; there is only struggle. Their weapons are taken away, and their heads are cut off."

Mustafa Destici stated that the decisions made regarding municipalities with appointed trustees concerning individuals who have been convicted of membership in a terrorist organization are correct. Furthermore, he claimed that an understanding of "nationalism without Islam" is being promoted in Turkey, noting that some series and films broadcast on digital platforms and television channels are corrupting the public's customs, traditions, and morals. Destici emphasized that there should be a 16-year age limit for social media usage, stating, "We support the prohibition of smartphone use during class hours in our schools."
