After Hasan Arat's resignation in Beşiktaş, another executive has left their position. The black-and-white administrator Kaan Şakul, who was the most discussed name after the press conference organized by Samet Aybaba, has decided to resign.

After the decision for an extraordinary general assembly was made following his assumption of the presidency, Şakul announced that he would leave his positions as secretary general and deputy treasurer in Beşiktaş and continue as a board member until the election.

KAAN ŞAKUL'S STATEMENT

Kaan Şakul used the following statements in his announcement;

To the Esteemed Public,

"Following Mr. Hasan Arat's departure from his position on November 29, 2024, it was unanimously accepted in the board meeting that Mr. Hüseyin Yücel would assume the presidency and that the works would continue in line with the principle of unity previously committed by our board members.

In our board meeting on December 3, 2024, the proposal for an "Extraordinary General Assembly" brought to the agenda by our President Mr. Hüseyin Yücel was unanimously accepted by our board and this decision has been shared with the public.

Our last board meeting holds special significance in our institutional history, both for the decision to hold the Extraordinary General Assembly and for the evaluation of pending membership applications for the years 2023 and 2024.

Within the scope of the responsibility assigned to the Secretary General position I am currently holding, which includes "determining the board agenda," in order to protect the rights of our valuable members and to prevent any grievances by the end of the year, as my last service, the evaluation of pending membership applications for the years 2023 and 2024 has been brought to the agenda and concluded with the approval of our board.

On this occasion, I welcome our new members who have joined us and wish them a fruitful membership.

As of today, I would like to inform you that I am concluding my duties as Secretary General and deputy treasurer, and I will continue in my position as a board member, which I held on my first day in office, until the election, in accordance with the trust of our President Mr. Hüseyin Yücel and the promise I made to him.

I would also like to state that I have initiated legal proceedings regarding the systematically sustained unfounded claims and smear campaigns against me in various media, and I will not step back from this matter, sharing a detailed explanation on a national television channel soon. I would like to emphasize that I expect all relevant parties to act responsibly during this process.

I extend my deepest gratitude to all my friends who have not withheld their support and have conveyed that they are by my side during this process.

I wish our Extraordinary General Assembly to be beneficial for our club and community, and I extend my respects."
