Çağdaş Atan, who signed a contract with Zecorner Kayserispor before the 2022-2023 season, terminated his contract on September 6, 2023, despite his term still being in effect.

After Kayserispor's appeal to the Turkish Football Federation, the case was brought to the Dispute Resolution Board (DRB). The board made its decision regarding the case between Kayserispor and Çağdaş Atan. The Dispute Resolution Board ruled that Çağdaş Atan must pay 8 million TL as the principal amount to the yellow-red club, with the total amount reaching 12 million TL including interest.
