The cryptocurrency market achieved a double success early on Friday morning. Bitcoin surpassing the $118,000 level and spot ETFs recording record inflows highlighted the strength of institutional adoption.

As the leading cryptocurrency Bitcoin reaches its historical peak at $118,000, spot Bitcoin ETFs have recorded the second highest daily inflow with an entry of $1.18 billion. Ethereum has risen by 7.3% to reach $2,981. While institutional investors show strong appetite, experts indicate that a major bull run has begun. Expectations of interest rate cuts support the rise.

Bitcoin and Ethereum Showcase Record Performance

The highest market capitalization cryptocurrency Bitcoin (BTC) has increased by 6.11% in the last 24 hours, reaching $117,919 at the time of writing. Similarly, Ethereum has risen by 7.35%, pricing at $2,996.

Jeff Mei, the operations manager of the cryptocurrency exchange BTSE, stated that they believe Bitcoin reaching another all-time high is an important signal that the sector is on the verge of starting a major bull run.

Vincent Liu, the investment manager at Kronos Research, mentioned that calmer macro conditions and increasing institutional adoption have reignited interest in Bitcoin. Liu emphasized that this shift reflects growing confidence in BTC as a regulated, long-term asset similar to gold.

Min Jung, a research analyst at Presto Research, explained that the recent increase in inflows to spot Bitcoin ETFs has been driven by renewed expectations for U.S. interest rate cuts and increasing institutional appetite.

Nick Ruck, director of LVRG Research, stated that investors are also closely monitoring recent regulatory developments. Recent regulations, such as the GENIUS Act and the removal of a significant tax rule for crypto brokerage firms, have fueled institutional demand for Bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencies as costly barriers and legal complications from traditional financial systems are gradually removed.
