Twenty soldiers and security personnel were killed in an armed attack in Nigeria's Plateau state.
ATTACKED WITH HEAVY WEAPONS
According to reports in the national press, armed gang members ambushed soldiers and local security personnel on patrol in the Garga area of Plateau state. The security team, which was on a routine patrol with two vehicles, was attacked with heavy weapons. In the attack, 12 soldiers and 8 local security personnel lost their lives, and many security forces were injured.
THEY LOOTED FOOD PRODUCTS AND ANIMALS
After the attack in the Garga area, gang members looted food products and a large number of cattle from the neighboring Kyaram region.
