One person lost their life and four others were rescued injured as a result of a boat sinking in the Gökova Bay of Muğla. An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
As a result of a boat sinking in the Gulf of Gökova in Muğla, İ.Ö. from the same family lost his life, while 4 people were rescued injured by the Coast Guard teams.
The incident occurred around 16:50 off the Gökçe Beach Ziraatçılar Cove. Following a report of a boat with 5 people on board sinking, Coast Guard Command teams were dispatched to the area.
BOAT SANK, ONE PERSON LOST HIS LIFE
As a result of the efforts, the lifeless body of İ.Ö. was reached, while A.Ö., Y.İ., E.Ö., and A.Ö. were rescued injured. After the intervention of the medical teams, the injured were taken to Marmaris State Hospital.
In the investigation initiated regarding the incident, it was determined that those on the boat were members of the same family and that they had gone fishing with a 5-meter fiber boat. An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
