In a fight between a watermelon seller and municipal police in Şanlıurfa, 15 people were injured and 5 people were detained. The fight, which turned into a battlefield, was captured on camera.

The incident took place on Açıksu Street in Devteyşti Neighborhood, located in the Haliliye district. A dispute broke out between the watermelon seller, who was warned for occupying the sidewalk, and the municipal police. As the argument escalated, the shopkeepers and municipal police started physically attacking each other. The fight, which turned into a battlefield, was calmed down by the police using pepper spray.

Journalists who received the tip quickly arrived at the scene. The shopkeepers in the area reacted to the municipal police who obstructed the journalists and tried to prevent them from filming.

In the fight, 15 people were injured in various parts of their bodies. The police detained 5 suspects involved in the fight.

Upon hearing about the fight between the municipal police and the shopkeepers, the relatives of the shopkeepers came to the scene. The wife and daughter of one of the shopkeepers burst into tears upon witnessing the fight. The unidentified little girl pleaded with the municipal police, saying "Don't beat my father."
