Afyonkarahisar Mayor Burcu Köksal broke her silence regarding her absence from the rally held in Esenyurt after the arrest of Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer.

"I KNOW WHERE AND WHEN I WILL BE"

Starting her statement with "I will decide how and with whom to manage Afyonkarahisar Municipality together with the people of Afyonkarahisar," Köksal said, "I have never hesitated to speak my truths. It is not others but I who know where and when I will be. I am not one of those who come when called and leave when told, without questioning. Do not confuse us with yourselves," she stated.

Continuing her words, Köksal referred to the events during the resolution process and the call made by MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli to terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan, saying, "Those who welcomed terrorists with drums and zurnas in Habur, and those who couldn't say a word about the invitation of baby killer Apo to the Grand National Assembly for fear of being removed from their positions, and those who trampled each other to take photos with the snotty FETÖ, do not have the right or the authority to question my nationalism. Even the zakat of my nationalism would be too much for you," she said.
