Actress Büşra Pekin was detained as part of a drug investigation involving celebrities.
As part of a drug investigation targeting celebrities, a detention order was issued for 14 individuals, including Büşra Pekin, Emir Can İğrek, Burak Deniz, and Somer Sivrioğlu.
STATEMENT FROM THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE
In a statement regarding the operation from the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the following was noted:
"Within the scope of the investigation file 2026/73811 of our Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Terror and Organized Crimes Investigation Bureau; it has been assessed that 14 suspects participated in the crimes of Purchasing, Accepting, or Possessing Drugs or Stimulants for Use, or Using Drugs or Stimulants, and Supplying Drugs or Stimulants, which are conducted in coordination with the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Narcotic Crimes Combat Branch Directorate, targeting 'publicly known individuals.' On April 9, 2026, simultaneous search and seizure operations were carried out for their capture."
During the search and seizure activities, 11 suspects were detained, it was determined that 2 suspects were on the run, and 1 suspect was found to be abroad. Our Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office continues investigations into crimes committed against public health, as it does for all types of crimes, with determination and diligence."
WHO IS BÜŞRA PEKİN?
Büşra Pekin is a Turkish actress and comedian born on June 30, 1982, in Saudi Arabia. She graduated from the Theater Department of Dokuz Eylul University. She is particularly recognized by a wide audience for her sketches in the program Çok Güzel Hareketler Bunlar.
Later, she played leading roles in film projects such as Hadi İnşallah and Dilberay. With her success in comedy projects, she is among the well-known female actors in Turkey.
