HAYKO CEPKİN: STRAY ANIMALS ARE NOT HOMELESS
Hayko Cepkin, who reacted to the decision, said "I support the law you will pass #strayanimalsarenothomeless. You may not be able to allocate your budget enough to perform a necessary routine sterilization operation, but don't let unnecessary nonsense remain in the name of reputation. SEZEN AKSU: WHY DO WE THINK OF ERADICATION INSTEAD OF FINDING A SOLUTION IN MY BELOVED COUNTRY?
Sezen Aksu opposed the regulation with the following words: "The story of Sivriada in our history hurts my conscience and heart... I heard their voices while reading about 80 thousand dogs being taken to Sivriada, sometimes because they attacked a tourist, sometimes because their numbers increased, despite the efforts of good people who have always existed, and being left to hunger and death. We call that place 'Ungrateful Island' with the deserved title. Even if it is written that it is due to hunger, I am sure that the screams I am certain they threw away because of ingratitude are recorded somewhere in our sky. The head of ingratitude is held by humans, the island is not guilty. Our face will seek forgiveness for more than a century... Why does the idea of eradication come to mind first when I am looking for a solution in my beloved country?"
WHAT IS THE REGULATION REGARDING STRAY DOGS?
In the preparation stage of the law proposal regarding stray dogs, details have started to emerge according to the information obtained from backstage sources. It was learned that a proposal similar to the regulation in the UK will emerge in the study, which also examined examples from around the world. According to the information received about the regulation, municipalities will take photos of the dogs in their shelters and publish adoption announcements on their websites. There will be a waiting period of 30 days for each dog to be adopted. If the dogs are not adopted by the end of the 30-day period, a euthanasia decision will be implemented. Sources shared the detail that euthanasia will be carried out with mercy. New dogs will be collected from the streets and brought to the vacant shelters of the euthanized dogs, and the process will continue in this way.
