CHP Ankara Provincial Chairman Ümit Erkol was detained in Ankara as part of the cooperative investigation in İzmir.

As part of the investigation initiated by the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, action was taken based on the complaint of the cooperative representative, Attorney Nilgün Dağgeçen, and the expert report.

It was learned that allegations of irregularities related to cooperative activities were examined in the file, and proceedings were initiated against the suspects for Misuse of Duty, Negligence of Supervisory Duty, and Embezzlement. In this context, CHP Ankara Provincial Chairman Ümit Erkol was detained in Ankara as part of the cooperative investigation in İzmir.

COOPERATIVE INVESTIGATION

A "cooperative" case was opened as part of the investigation initiated with the allegation of "corruption" against the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality.

Among the 65 people being tried in detention, former İzmir Metropolitan Mayor Tunç Soyer, former İZBETON General Manager Heval Savaş Kaya, and former CHP İzmir Provincial Chairman Şenol Aslanoğlu are included as 'defendants' in the case.
