It was claimed that Fenerbahçe received the service fee of 600 million TL from the 5-year agreement with Passolig in a single payment. The lump sum receipt of this income has sparked discussions.
Fenerbahçe President Sadettin Saran signed a 5-year contract with Passolig immediately after taking office in September.
FENERBAHÇE RECEIVED 600 MILLION TL IN ADVANCE
According to Sercan Hamzaoğlu's report; Fenerbahçe obtained a service fee of 600 million TL from this agreement, but it was claimed that, by Saran's decision, the yellow-navy team received this money in advance instead of spreading it over the years. Sercan Hamzaoğlu stated regarding the issue, "There has been serious misinformation in the public regarding the Passolig agreement in recent days. I would like to clearly convey the details of my exclusive news once again. Fenerbahçe SK made a 5-year agreement with Passolig and obtained a total service fee of 600 million TL in return for this agreement. The income in question could have been received spread over the years under this contract. However, the club also had the right to receive the 5-year fee in a single payment if it wished. The Fenerbahçe management opted for the advance payment. There is no damage or loss incurred by the club here. The club simply preferred to use the income that was already earned in advance."
IT SPARKED DEBATES
The claim that the yellow-navy team received their 5-year income in a single payment caused debates among the fans. Many fans began to suspect that the yellow-navy team's treasury was empty, while football enthusiasts started waiting for an official statement from the management.
