Conflicts continue between the Bashar al-Assad regime and the anti-regime armed group Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) in the Aleppo and Idlib provinces of Syria. Local sources in the region reported that Syrian opposition forces are just 1 kilometer away from Aleppo. IT IS A MATTER OF TIME FOR THE OPPOSITION TO CAPTURE THE SECOND LARGEST CITYAnti-regime groups clashing with Bashar al-Assad regime forces have reached within 1 kilometer of the outer neighborhoods of Aleppo city. Meanwhile, it is claimed that Assad's forces have also left Aleppo. THE OPPOSITION IS ADVANCING STEP BY STEPThe clashes began early yesterday morning in the western countryside of Aleppo province and continued throughout the day. Armed groups that seized control of 32 villages and points in the west of Aleppo yesterday captured 10 more villages today. Among the settlements and points that anti-regime groups have taken control of in the western countryside of Aleppo are El Ragib Hill, Kuptan Mountain, Debbabat Hill, the town of Ancara, 46th Brigade, Kefer Besme, Basartun, Hur, Elkasimiyye, Acil, Bele, Sellum, Kefer Bissin, Sheikh Akil, Hırderkal, Acemi, Ürumsugra, Uveycil, El Hüte, El Dab'a, Urum al-Kubra, Bişantara, Bakdina, Cemiyet Elmaari, Cemiyet Ebu Amşe, Cemiyet Emin, Cemiyet Manahil, Cemiyet er Rıdvan, Mühendisin, Arnaz, Kefernaha, Kanasel, Kefercum, Sheikh Ali, Yaged Elades, Babis, Kefer Naha, Arrade, Mühendisin 2, Başkatin, Zirbe, and Mansura. These areas were previously under the control of the Assad regime. Anti-regime groups, which approached within 3 kilometers of the city center of Aleppo in the early hours of the morning and took control of an area of 320 square kilometers, also attacked Aleppo Neyrab Military Airport with drones in the early hours of the day, destroying a helicopter. While the clashes continue, the Assad regime targeted civilian settlements with ground-to-ground weapons. DOZENS OF REGIME SOLDIERS CAPTUREDHTS seized heavy weapons and military vehicles belonging to the Assad regime in the areas it took control of. Many regime soldiers were killed in the clashes, and HTS captured dozens of regime soldiers. Approximately 10,000 civilians fleeing the clashes in the region sought refuge in the rural areas of Idlib. The clashes continue to intensify towards the city center of Aleppo. Clashes also began in the Serakip region, located in the east of Idlib province in the northwest of the country, early this morning. Anti-regime groups captured the villages of Trimbe, Dadih, Keferbattih, Cubas, Shabur, and Mardih, which were under the control of the Assad regime.
