Critical message from President Erdoğan: A hope has emerged for the end of terrorism.

11.01.2025 18:50

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated, "A hope has emerged for the end of terrorism," during his party's Ordinary Provincial Congress in Şanlıurfa. Erdoğan also remarked, "We find this developing atmosphere in politics very valuable. Either the guns aimed at our country will be buried, or those who point guns at Turkey will be buried. There is no third way."

President Erdoğan made statements at the Ordinary Provincial Congress of his party in Şanlıurfa. Speaking about the "Terror-Free Turkey" process that began following the calls of MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, Erdoğan made important remarks.

Stating that "a hope has emerged for the end of terrorism," Erdoğan said, "We find this atmosphere developing in politics very valuable. Either the guns aimed at our country will be buried, or those who point guns at Turkey will be buried. There is no third way."

Highlights from Erdoğan's statements are as follows:

"Politics is the art of serving the nation and conquering the heart of the nation. There is no room for being angry or sulking at the nation like the opposition does. We are a nation that creates a destiny partnership, not a partnership of interests, with our people. The AK Party is the party of 85 million. The AK Party is a party that provides fair service to all 85 million, regardless of their political identity or choice at the ballot box.

"WE PUSHED AWAY EVERYTHING THAT CONTRADICTS OUR BROTHERHOOD"

We said we would activate justice and development with all its elements. We said we would build a Turkey where there are freedoms, not prohibitions. In the positions we hold, we have never looked at anyone's language or ethnic origin. We have always been unifying and integrative. We pushed away everything that contradicts our thousand-year-old brotherhood on this land with the back of our hands.

"WE DEFENDED BROTHERHOOD, WE WILL CONTINUE TO DEFEND BROTHERHOOD"

We pushed away every kind of exclusionary attitude that threatens our thousand-year-old brotherhood on this land with the back of our hands. Divisive approaches have found no place in our politics. Until today, we have always defended brotherhood, and we will continue to defend brotherhood. We will never give a chance to those who try to make us enemies of each other. The CHP said, 'We will send the Syrians back,' we said, even if it costs us our political future, we will protect them."
