Ahmet Mahmut Ünlü, known to the public as "Cübbeli Ahmet," published a video explaining why he was saddened by the return of Syrians to their country. Ünlü's words, "I am sad because the community will decrease," ignited a major controversy.
After years of civil war in Syria and the fall of the Assad regime, many Syrians have returned to their country. While the return of Syrians to their homeland was welcomed by some in Turkey, it saddened others.
