Fashion designer Amor Garibovic showcased his "Phoenix Bloom" couture collection at the Venice Palace on October 8th. Defne Samyeli attended the fashion show with her daughters, Derin and Deren Talu. At the event, which attracted significant attention from celebrities, Samyeli highlighted the challenges of being a woman in Turkey by drawing attention to current issues. "We don't enjoy the food we eat or the sofas we sit on," said Samyeli, expressing her concerns about safety and stating, "They do not protect women."

During the fashion show, Defne Samyeli drew attention to the difficulties of being a woman in Turkey by evaluating the current situation when microphones were extended to her. A former news anchor, Samyeli stated, "I am so angry... We do not enjoy the food we eat, the couch we sit on, nor do we feel safe! People are being imprisoned for just talking a couple of words on the street. Someone with 26 criminal records has murdered our young police officer. They do not protect women. As a citizen, I am very dissatisfied!"
