In a special statement during a live broadcast by Haberler.com at the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), DEM Party Hakkari Deputy Vezir Coşkun Parlak evaluated how the process of a terrorism-free Turkey has been received by the people of Hakkari. Parlak stated, "90% of the people of Hakkari support the process. The public has expectations from the government. For instance, one of their biggest expectations is for this issue to evolve into a solution."
During the opening of the 4th Legislative Year of the 28th Term of the Turkish Grand National Assembly in Ankara, DEM Party Hakkari Deputy Vezir Coşkun Parlak answered questions from Haberler.com News Director Olgun Kızıltepe and presenter Melis Yaşar during Haberler.com's special live broadcast.
"A HISTORICAL PARLIAMENT"
Speaking about the new legislative period, Parlak stated, "The parliament in this period is a historical parliament. Our deputies in the parliament have actually taken on a historical responsibility. We are going through a period where we may be closest to resolving an almost 100-year-old Kurdish issue. In this regard, we are talking about a parliament that plays a historically foundational role. I hope that in the new period, we can collectively resolve all the problems of this country."
"90% OF THE PEOPLE SUPPORT THE PROCESS"
In response to the question, "What is the perspective of the people of Hakkari regarding public support for the process of a terrorism-free Turkey?" Parlak replied:
"Hakkari is perhaps one of the cities that has suffered the most from this war. 90% of the people support the process. The people have expectations from the government. We express these expectations in the commission established in the Parliament. For instance, one of the biggest expectations of the people is actually for this issue to evolve into a solution. After that, the release of sick prisoners, political prisoners, detained mayors, Selahattin Demirtaş, and Figen Yüksekdağ."
