The photo of Erdoğan and Babacan taken at the reception in the Turkish Grand National Assembly was interpreted as "a sign of the political narrative of the new era." The leader of the DEVA Party, Ali Babacan, responded to the question "Will the DEVA Party join the People's Alliance?" during a live broadcast on Haberler.com by saying, "There are such exaggerated rumors. They might be seeing fantasies by looking at that photo."

The reception was held in the Parliament due to the start of the 28th Term 4th Legislative Year. The reception was attended by names such as President Erdoğan, Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, Future Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu, DEVA Party Chairman Ali Babacan, and HÜDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu.

In response to the question posed by News Director Olgun Kızıltepe, "Will the DEVA Party join the People's Alliance?", Babacan said, "There are such exaggerated rumors. They may be dreaming. They may be seeing fantasies looking at that photo."

"THE SPEAKER OF THE PARLIAMENT THANKED US"

Continuing his words, Babacan stated, "A commission worked in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey throughout the summer. This is a commission related to ending terrorism in Turkey. Following that, we wanted a commission to work on rights and freedoms. We supported this commission from the beginning. If you remember, when it was first announced, I said, 'It's a very difficult job. Even if there is a 5% chance of a solution, we will still support it.' We were one of the first to support it, even before Mr. Erdoğan started talking about it months later. Therefore, the Speaker of the Parliament thanked us and other party leaders for a work we have been involved in and supported from day one. For me, that photo does not carry any meaning beyond that."

"THE MEDIA SUPPORTING THE OPPOSITION IS THE ONE TARGETING US"

Babacan emphasized that the reactions from the opposition actually came not directly from political parties but from the media supporting the opposition, stating, "For the first time in the history of the Republic, a main opposition party did not attend the opening of the Parliament. This is their own decision, and we respect it. However, the main criticisms targeting us come from the media supporting the opposition. If this media continues like this, the CHP will become increasingly isolated."

"THEY HEADLINED DIFFERENTLY DESPITE OUR EXPLANATIONS"

Despite journalists calling DEVA Party members to ask about the reason for the photo, Babacan claimed that the truth was distorted, saying, "If different headlines are still being made despite the explanations, this is malicious intent. It is providing false information to the public."
