The Disinformation Combat Center denied claims that chemical spraying is being conducted by airplanes and that this affects precipitation. The statement said, "The trails seen in the images are natural formations created by airplanes at high altitudes, known as 'contrails'."

The Presidency's Communication Directorate Disinformation Combat Center (DMM) denied the claims circulating on some social media accounts that "chemical spraying is being conducted by airplanes."

"CHEMICAL SPRAYING" CLAIMS DENIED

In a statement from the DMM, it was noted that the claims regarding "chemical spraying by airplanes" and its alleged impact on precipitation, based on images shared on some social media accounts, had previously been denied by the Disinformation Combat Center and that this is a clear disinformation.

"TRACES IN THE IMAGES ARE CONTRAILS"

The statement recorded the following: "The traces seen in the images are natural formations created by airplanes at high altitudes, known as 'contrails.' These traces form through the condensation of water vapor under suitable temperature and humidity conditions, can take on different colors depending on atmospheric conditions, and can persist for a while before dissipating. These traces do not have any effect on controlling weather events or preventing precipitation. It is strongly requested that the public does not give credence to such baseless content aimed at creating fear and uncertainty."
