In the U.S., the "salary rebellion" turned into an unimaginable act of arson. A warehouse worker in California set fire to the massive 1.2 million square foot facility where he worked, citing financial struggles as his reason. The attacker, who live-streamed the horrifying moments that turned the area, the size of 11 city blocks, to ashes on social media, confessed to his crime by saying, "You didn't pay us enough."

A warehouse worker in California, USA, set fire to the facility due to low wages. While the massive warehouse, the size of 11 city blocks, became unusable, it was revealed that the suspect shared moments of burning toilet paper on social media.

THE GIANT FACILITY WAS CONSUMED BY FLAMES

A fire broke out at the approximately 1.2 million square meter giant logistics center owned by the world-famous Kimberly-Clark company in Ontario, California, during the night. The flames quickly engulfed the entire facility due to the paper products inside. 175 firefighters and 20 fire trucks dispatched to the scene struggled to control the fire, which was the size of 11 city blocks. Due to the intensity of the fire, the teams had to stop intervention from the inside after a while and establish a defensive line from the outside.

NOT AN ACCIDENT, BUT ARSON

In the investigation initiated after the fire was brought under control, it was determined that the incident was not an accident but a deliberate arson.

29-year-old warehouse worker Chamel Abdulkarim confessed to the attack with the images he shared on his social media account. In the video, Abdulkarim was heard burning packages of toilet paper in the warehouse and reacting to the company by saying, "You haven't paid us enough to get by."

THE MATERIAL DAMAGE IS VERY LARGE

Shortly after the incident, Abdulkarim was captured and arrested on charges of aggravated arson. While all employees present in the facility during the fire were successfully evacuated, no loss of life or injuries were reported. However, it was stated that millions of dollars worth of products and the giant facility became completely unusable.
